What do you think about that bit about the Gurus lying to you?

Well I don’t really agree. Most Gurus I know are pretty honest.

However, I think there are a lot of wannabee Gurus who do lie through their teeth. They lie about their current success. They photoshop their earnings figures to show earnings they have not made. They create false testimonials.

Be careful out there.

I can see that they are a growing part of the ‘marketing mix’ and that I can use these skills both to promote sites and to make new products. But I just can’t find the time to really master these areas. I’m trying to learn Sony Vegas and Sound Forge as well as Camtasia 5. I have a decent Camtasia video camera as well as a couple of webcams. I may get myself one of those cheap Flip cameras suggested by Mike Stewart. But what I need to do most is to overcome my fear of the unknown. I don’t like doing things I’m not good at. Typical man ;-)

And the long delay before I got it only enhanced my doubts. But now it has arrived, I’m very pleased with it.

What is becoming clearer and clearer, and is confirmed in the magazine, is that Internet Marketers need to produce multimedia products as part of their promotional efforts. I’m quite happy writing but I don’ think I have a voice for podcasts or a face for Youtube ;)
